This Indian Solo Enterprenuer is generating $10k per month from his mockup plugin
Hey, everyone once again I came up with a new founder story who runs his entire company solely and generating around $10k per month from his single website. Today we will get to know about his journey, what his website about and how he is generating $10k monthly revenue from his website. So lets get started.
About the Founder
This enterprenur about whom I am gonna tell about is non other than Vikash Prajapat. Yeah he is from India. Born and studied in well known city Bokaro in India which is also known as Steel City of India. He completed his Bachelor of Technology from BIT Sindri, Jharkhand in 2014.
After completing Bachlors he immediately got placed in IBM as a SAP consultant where he worked for around 8 months in Bangalore City far away from his home city. In October 2015 he left is well paid consultant job and joined as a co-founder in a company Putoos. He co-founded the company with another co-founder where he refined and edited images for ecommerce companies.
He ran that company from 2015 to 2020 and within that period he co founded another company Math-e-Magic in 2017 where he helped students to get clarify the concepts and formaulas of Maths. All was going good but in 2019 pandemic Covid 19 hitted all accross the world and lockdown happened due to which he had to shutdown his both companies in April 2020. But he never gave up on his entrepreneurial dreams. On same April 2020 he started his another online venture MyResolve.in.
I think there is problem in both plans they are giving access to 2 devices, if I have to install on 1 device only then I have to pay for 2. They should have to add ad on plan for 1 device as my opinion. What you people think please comment down in the comment box.

His business model is simple. He sells his plugin with two subscription plans one is monthly which is $15 dollars a month and another one is yearly plan $77 per year. Means if take yearly plan In both you get unlimited mockups.
The Idea that generates $40K per month
1 Year before his ecommerce startup (Myresolve.in) he started a company named Bulk Mockup. So basically Bulk Mockup is a plugin for Adobe Photoshop which helps ecommerce brands to generate mockups for thier products within minutes without knowledge of Photoshop. Basiscally Bulk Mockup plugin will generate hundreds of mockups design within minutes even if you dont have knowledge of Photoshop. Just install the plugin add you designs and mockups , the plugin will run the script and multiple design and save it to a folder.
How Vikash got the Idea for Bulk Mockup
When Vikash was working in IBM he was also doing freelance works. Vikash learned photoshop during his college days and after learning photoshop he got some clients from Fiverr.com and Upwork.com. Most of his clients are ecommerce brands who needed his services to make mokcups for their products to showcase on thier websites. After getting enough clients he quit his job and started photo editing agency with his friends.
His clients got increased day by day and he and his friend spent hours and hours to build mockups for the clients. This was the main problem. Problem? I know you thinking how is this a problem. He is geting clients, working from his home city. How can be this a problem.
See the problem was that he was getting more clients but he had limited time. For making 1 mockup he was taking several hours. But due to increasing clients he had to delay or reject some orders. In business any returning clients or customers is a loss. But he got to knew that in photoshop anyone can write thier custom script to do automation which can help him to make same mokcups with minutes instead of taking hours.
So he lspend weeks and learned photoshop scripting and made the script to automate the mockup making process. But there was a catch initially they did't sold the script he used the script internally. Thier clients were shocked with the time it took them to deliver the projects. After some Vikash shared his script with few trusted clients. He got appreciated and got positive reviews from the clients.
So Vikash he thought instead of selling services why not sell the script.
Marketing for the Script
After making the script and getting positive feedback from his clients. He made a Youtube channel named Putoos Graphics uploaded video tutorials to make mockups and introduced the script. On that vidoe he got lots of demand from the viewers for his script. He got so much appreciation and postive feedbacks he got confidence about his product. He and his friend improved the script and developed the plugin.
How his plugin makes money?

Tech behind Bulk Mockup
Vikash initially didn't know to code so when he got to know about Photoshop script he learned that from Youtube and made the plugin. His wbeiste is made using Wordpress.com and for payment he uses Gumroad. Apart from that uses several tools to record videos for making tutorial for youtube channel. He still uses photoshop for improving his plugin.
What we can learn from Vikash
Vikash entrepreneurial journey teaches that in life whatever happens never give up on your dreams. Like he had to shut down his 2 companies due to lockdown. But didn't gave up. He hust pivoted his business accordingly and also he didn't just dependent of 1 business he deversified into multiple business within same category. You should also do the same thing. Build a business, standardise it and automate it. Then work on another idea and failure is a part of life, either you will face the failure before success or failure will come after huge success. But one thing always remeber never give up.
